Massive congratulations to the Scoil Thomáis Quiz Panel who were very successful at the Irish League of Credit Union’s Quiz yesterday evening. One of our teams came in first place overall and another came in third. This was a really great achievement considering all the very tough opponents from the other schools in the locality. The team members who won the overall quiz are now through to the Regional Finals. We look forward to more quiz success in the future!

Due to the fact that Scoil Thomáis has a new sacred space, Ms. Smith and Fr. Brendan decided to hold a competition that gave children from the 3rd and 4th a chance to make an advent wreath to go on the sacred space for the weeks of advent. On Friday the 27th of November, the children came to the library so Fr. Brendan and Ms. Smith could pick a winner. Each child or class explained how they made their advent wreath. All the wreaths were so good that Fr. Brendan and Ms. Smith found it impossible to pick a winner! All the wreaths are now on display at the library for people to look at.

Our annual fundraising raffle will take place on Friday 4th of December with LOTS of great prizes to be won. Every child has been given a book of tickets to sell. Tickets are €2 each or €10 for a book of 6 tickets. All ticket stubas and money should be returned to the class teacher by the 27th of November.

This year, money raised by the raffle will be used to complete the upgrade of our Computer Room.

Here are some of our "Have you got your Maths Eyes?" posters. A special well done to Aisling and Dearbhla from Room 20 who went to the effort of making their own Maths Eyes posters.

This is Aisling's poster.
