Student Teacher Basketball Match

The student teacher basketball match took place on the 23rd of June. There were four excellent teams: Ryan's Rebels, The Lynch Mob, Freeman's Fighters and McManus' Marvels. Freeman's Fighters and The Lynch Mob played first, with The Lynch Mob progressing to the final. This match was followed by McManus' Marvels and Ryan's Rebels. This time McManus' Marvels were the victors. The final match was neck and neck and concluded with a shoot out and a victory for McManus' Marvels. All of the teams played well and they were very exciting matches. Thanks you to Ms. O'Reilly, who organised the event, and to Ms Murphy and Ms Keogh for keeping score. Thanks also to Mr. Ryan for his help in refereeing the games.

4th Class Tour

1

On the 17th June all three 4th classes went to Malahide Castle for our school tour. Our tour guide Max showed us around the castle while explaining the history of the castle and what the various objects that were on display were used for. He told us all about the Talbot family and how they had owned the castle from the 15th century all the way up until the 21st century when they were forced to sell it. There were many exciting rooms including one he said was haunted by a ghost call Púca. After the tour of the castle ended we ate lunch. We played rounders and football on the green and went to the playground.
